Having 11 years of experience in geothermal fields and research, particularly in geothermal geochemistry, I mostly did research about the evaluation prospects of geothermal exploration in high-temperature systems. Consequently, I am knowledgeable about the environmental isotopes' instruments and analyses, particularly water isotopes δ2H and δ18O, 87Sr/86Sr, and trace elements (including alkali metals, alkali earth metals, Ba and Sr, and transition metals) that are usually deployed in analyzing hydrothermal fluids from reservoirs. My background in geothermal research takes me to join the Geological Resources Center Unit, Research Organization for Earth Sciences and Maritime, BRIN. As an expert researcher in BRIN, which is still in the transition stage, geothermal research upstream and downstream is not integrated yet. In 2-3 years, my research will be carried out in collaboration with researchers from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, which previously oversaw researchers from the Geological Agency and the Energy and Mineral Resources Research and Development Agency. I will also try to see what research resources we have in BRIN and I would like to engage with geothermal researchers from academic institutions, companies, and other parties to collaborate. I would say I am one of the pioneers of researchers in the geothermal field at the sole national research agency of Indonesia. Hence, I am very open to seeking opportunities to collaborate with domestic and foreign institutions.
